Since 1989, when English education was first made available to the children of Taiwan , Happy Marian has strived and continues to pursue the accomplishment of its teaching objectives. Our mission is to cultivate the English listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities of children by providing them with instruction within a pure English environment. By the end of 2004, there have been over 30,000 kindergarten graduates of Happy Marian who have all taken their educations to the next level, elementary school. They are confident individuals who have learned to adopt positive and optimistic mindsets no matter where life takes them, whether it will be throughout Taiwan or throughout the world. Happy Marian understands there are many parents who believe in the value of English education. We are also aware of the many bright and promising children who have never been offered the chance to pursue English in such an environment because of the lack of opportunity. Happy Marian provides this opportunity. We urge these caring parents to give their children the chance to receive English instruction at an early age under the supervision of experienced teachers and the support of a complete education system. In the loving environment Happy Marian promises, young children can have fun while learning English and parents can feel at ease to know that they have broadened their children's future and chance at success.
Happy Marian English Elementary School believes in providing education under the confines of a pure English environment. Under the instruction of devoted and experienced teachers, children will not only develop and hone their English skills, but grow as individuals. They will be encouraged to cultivate their many interests and talents and will thus, broaden their views of the world. We at Happy Marian truly believe that children who study with us will grow up to be well-rounded human beings who will go on to become successful leaders of the future |

| Listening, speaking, reading, and writing, are the four most common areas of language study. We believe that they are just the surfaces of learning. Happy Marian places emphasis on the deeper aspects of knowledge such that when children engage in “listening,” they listen to true Comprehension. When they engage in “speaking,” they speak with fluent Expression. When they engage in “reading,” they read with full establishment of Perception, and when they engage in “writing,” they write with incisive Creation!
At Happy Marian we believe that the basic foundation to learning and improvement is the innate desire to enhance one's intellect. In the current and technologically advanced world we are faced with today, children are given a plethora of information at their fingertips. Happy Marian understands this and encourages children to experience that world. With the desire to learn and improve oneself, children can forever grow and continue to promote self-change for the better. With this desire, the world is theirs for the taking. This is progress and Dynamism!
Happy Marian Elementary Curriculums are tailored and structured to meet elementary school children's and parents' satisfactions. These five important foundation factors: Comprehension, Expression, Perception, Creation, and Dynamism, are the keys to cultivating and enhancing the children's comprehensive English language abilities. However, it is their motivation and passion for studying on their own accord that are the only means to infinite self-advancement. |
